1st Christmas

Ellison's first Christmas was a lot of fun. She traveled to Amarillo for Christmas Eve with my family and then we were off to the ranch for Christmas Day with the Lasley's. Our drive to the ranch was a little more adventurous than planned. A blizzard hit us on 287 and stayed with us for about 2 hours. Unfortunately, Ell didn't get to see any of the snow because it was 5am and she was asleep. Oh well, maybe next year.

10 months

We can't believe 10 months has already gone by! We are having such a blast with Ellison and watching her personality come to life. Ellison is such a lover and a biter. She snuggles in real tight and then clamps down with her 7 teeth. 5 are out and 2 are poking through which hurts like crazy. I have bite marks all over me. ELL LOVES meat as I have talked about before. Really she just loves to eat:) She also loves to laugh and smile. Here she is standing next to the Lasley Tower from our wedding. We love loving ELL.

Morning Playdate

Ellison had a playdate with Aldon on Saturday morning at 8:30am. These two have been friends since 6 weeks or so. It is so much fun to see them play together.

Thanksgiving Break

1st Turkey Trot -- such a beautiful day for a walk in Austin. Taylor, Ellison and I completed one mile. Then we grabbed some coffee and ate lunch with my family.

Meat lover

For the love of meat....

After a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend we drove home. We stopped at a DQ in Lampasas, which is where her love for meat began. It was a long wait so when our food came, Ellison was bored and interested in what I was eating, a steak finger basket. So, I decided to tear off bite size pieces for her and see if she would be interested. Interested is an understatement. She caused such a scene that the entire restaurant was watching her chow down on steak fingers, no gravy. She would squeal with excitement and giggle with delight as she consumed my meal. Think Bevis and Butthead's low toned laugh. So bazaar and so funny that she was thrilled by meat.

So on Monday E had shaved turkey. Same sound effects! Same blissful attitude towards her delicious meal. I have never had so much fun watching someone eat. I can't wait to introduce cream sauces and gravies! She will love food even more once we can add the good stuff.

Teething at 9 months

Sophie just doesn't cut it....Two tops and one on bottom coming in at the same time calls for good old fashion wood table....Excited E has 5 total teeth and counting...

Visiting Great Granddad and Grammy

Tuesday 11/15/11, we went to visit Grammy and Granddad. Ellison enjoys visiting them and also really likes the staff. G & G just love Ellie. It is so wonderful to watch them with her.

9 months

Ellison had her 9 month appointment this week. We are right on target for everything. I don't have the percentiles with me, but E is happy and healthy. Dr. Ramirez told me to start letting her cry back to sleep and since Toby came to this appointment he is holding me to it. So, this week Ellison has woken each night and cried herself back to sleep. Sometimes she cries for 1.5 hours sometimes less. Good thing is that we are sleeping through it:) This week we also started eating dinner. Ellison is enjoying an old family favorite of chicken and rice. My Grammy's recipe to be exact. Very tasty.....

Ranch weekend

Ellison absolutely loves the ranch. I think it is because she gets to ride in the ranch truck with out a seatbelt. Or maybe it is because there are horses and deer running free. Either way, she is very happy here which is a good thing because deer season is upon us.....

Little Miss Peacock -- First Halloween

I am so proud of this little peacock! She wore her feathers well. She never even touched her handband, which by the way I made. Sunday was Toby's 33rd birthday and we spent the day celebrating by toting this little peacock to parties. First we went to Hayes' 1st birthday party. SO much fun. Kelley and Joe have an awesome house with an even more awesome playroom. There were kids everywhere. Fun times. Then we went to the McManus' 2nd annual halloween party. Ellison learned how to mow their lawn and played on the swing. It was a great day!

8 months and counting

It is hard to believe 8 months has already passed by....Ell has two teeth and she is working on more. She is such a happy baby that loves to screech/talk and walk around, with assistance....She loves to smile and take pictures.

The Park

E loves the park! She loves to swing and lucky for her, she goes everyday with Vianney. Toby and I take her on the weekends. Here is a picture from last weekend. She had such a blast....On another note, tooth #2 is coming in and boy has it done a doozy on her sleep. E is taking two 2 hour naps and then going to bed at 6:30. Then she wakes us a 3 am mad at the world and with what I assume is a toothache. This is picture is right before I got the stomach bug. Toby was in full dad mode since I spent 24 hours in bed. Needless to say they had a father/daughter park day on Sunday:)

Lots of firsts

First football season, first tooth, first trip to San Antonio with Lasley family... all very exciting times in a young lady's life.

Lake Granbury

Ellison made her first trip to Lake Granbury last weekend. She had a blast with Lillian and Charlie. She also liked Roxy their dog. Fun times were had by all.

Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Today is Ellison's 1/2 birthday. It is a very exciting day for us!! Ellison is sitting on her own and talking up a storm. She is a very happy girl who laughs and smiles all day long. Here she is eating some peas with Vianney. She slept from 10:30 to 3:30, which as many of you know is a big deal for this little one. She isn't much of a sleeper. Anyway, we can't wait to see what the next 6 months look like. Ellison has been such a joy and we are loving every minute.

Sunday Funday

Friend Reese came over to play on Sunday. Both girls had a great time. Reese is a jumping machine. So much fun watching these two become friends....

Pretty in pink...Toms

Ellison went shoe shopping on Saturday where she picked out some super cute pink Toms. She wore them to visit Great Grammy on Sunday.

Ellison has really taken to Wink. Here she is talking to her. So sweet....

Pillsbury dough tut (name provided by Taylor)

Aunt T watched Miss Ellison, so we could go to dinner with friends. Look how happy Ellison is with her aunt. Friend Jarrett was there too which was good for T. Ellie really liked him. Taylor changed her first dirty diaper....very exciting! She also put her to bed.

5.5 months

We went to Zocalo for dinner last week and tested out the highchair. She did great and we had our hands free. A win win for everyone. This week I tested the bob without the carseat. She seems to like the room she has and she gets to practice sitting.

Aunt Teeta

Aunt Taylor has returned from DC. Ellison loves her to death and smiles whenever Taylor comes into the room. We love having T in town because she volunteers to watch Miss E.

Ellison's Angel

Ellison is a very lucky girl! She gets to spend her days with Vianney. Just a cute shot of the two of them.
